DEER ROMANCE
It's that time of year again to watch out for deer running to & fro in pursuit of amorous activities.  Midwestern states have high deer-car crash frequency with Illinois ranked 3rd in the USA, and Wisconsin ranking 10th.  Early morning and evening hours are when deer are most active.  Use high-beam headlights and look for the reflection on the deer's eyes.  Blow your horn with one long blast to frighten them.  They seldom run alone; when you see one, look for others.  Brake firmly & don't swerve (easier said than done) - glancing blows can cause your vehicle to leave the road, with potential for greater damage and more severe injuries.  Swerving also confuses a deer trying to avoid you.  If you hit a deer, stay away from it.  Pull your car off the road & call the police.  Damage to your vehicle is covered under Comprehensive coverage and subject to your deductible.  Though its' a company specific question, filing Comprehensive claims generally have a nominal affect on your future premium's, if at all.
